Acropolis
The Acropolis hill, the so-called “Sacred Rock” of Athens, is the most important site of the city. During Perikle’s Golden Age, ancient Greek civilisation was represented in an ideal way on the hill and some of the architectural masterpieces of the period were erected on its ground. The most important among these is the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to Athena Parthenon, the patron goddess of Athens.

After a visit of this site, go back to the Hilton Athens or continue to one of the other sites in Athens such as Arios Pagos, the Agora, one of the Christian churches or the Academy of Athens
